Gaumont International Television (GIT) has made three international sales on two of its projects, Hannibal and Hemlock Grove.
Italy’s Mediaset and Mexico’s Televisa picked up Hannibal, while Germany’s Tele München Group bought Hemlock Grove, GIT’s CEO Katie O’Connell and head of international distribution and co-production Erik Pack announced Monday.
Both shows were recently renewed for second seasons in the U.S. Hannibal, which airs on NBC, stars Hugh Dancy as a brilliant criminal profiler and Mads Mikkelsen as the infamous Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The second season will air in 2014 in the U.S.
Hemlock Grove, which streams on Netflix, is a horror series about a small Pennsylvania town based on Brian McGreevy‘s book of the same name. The 10-episode second season will debut in 2014.
“Both of these high-end drama series have done incredibly well for us around the world, and we are delighted to be announcing these new sales with three of the strongest media giants in the television business today,” said Pack in a statement.
Los Angeles-based Gaumont International Television, launched in 2011, has several projects currently in the works, including Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn‘s next project, Barbarella, for Canal Plus.
