Ellen Page is in negotiations to star in Queen & Country, 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of the indie comic written by Greg Rucka, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are producing the project, which tells of a British SOS operative named Tara Chace whose identity is compromised after she carries out an assassination.

The project has a current script by Ryan Condal, although John Rogers and Rucka took previous stabs at it.
Page is known more for her indie dramas than action movies, but she is reprising her role as Kitty Pryde in Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Country could give her a franchise of her own.
