The Wolverine has been in theaters for mere days, but Fox is already heating up promotion for the next X-Men film.
The newly launched Trask-Industries.com puts a friendly face on the Sentinels, the mutant-hunting robots that will factor heavily into 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. The site touts the work of the fictional company and founder Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), the creator of the robots, and also reveals detail about the Days of Future Past timeline.

According to the site, Trask Industires produced the first Sentinel in 1973 and sold more than 8,700 of them to governments around the world. Fifty years later, it’s now working on a new model that sounds particularly dangerous to the X-Men and to mutantkind. The site also features arresting images of an alternative history reminiscent of Watchmen. One photo shows President Ronald Reagan being sworn into office as a Sentinel looks on, while another illustrates how futile organized protests must have been with Sentinels at the disposal of authorities.
Days of Future Past is based on an iconic 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline. In the comics, a future Kitty Pryde’s mind is sent back in time into her younger body, so she can warn the X-Men about an assassination that will lead to a dystopian future ruled by Sentinels.

At Comic-Con, it was confirmed Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) would be the one who is sent back in time. The Wolverine contains a post-credits scene teasing the next film, and includes a Trask Industries Easter egg.
Fox’s Days of Future Past features X-Men: First Class castmembers James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, as well as original X-Men trilogy actors Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore. The film is slated for a July 18, 2014, release.
