Here at AHA Today, we’re introducing a new semi-regular feature that highlights entries in our Archives Wiki project. Appropriate for recent financial news, the first entry we’d like to share is the wiki page of the National Bankruptcy Archives.

The National Bankruptcy Archives (NBA) is located in the Biddle Law Library at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia.  According to the wiki, the archives is “a national repository of materials relating to the history of debtor-creditor relations, bankruptcy and the reorganization of debt. The NBA collects records from the American College of Bankruptcy as well as from other organizations whose activities have been relevant to the history of bankruptcy and insolvency legislation, regulation, and administrative and judicial determination. The NBA also houses papers of individuals who have influenced the field, and other collections documenting the history of bankruptcy law.”

You can find the archive’s catalog and finding aids online. Some important records in its collection are the Lawrence P. King Papers, the Kenneth N. Klee Papers, the National Bankruptcy Conference Proceedings, the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges Records, and the Randall J. Newsome Oral History Collection.
