The AHA’s 126th annual meeting has come to a close. Thank you to everyone who participated in the meeting; presenting, attending sessions, interviewing, exhibiting, tweeting, and more. We hope to see all of you, as well as those who couldn’t make it this year, at next year’s meeting in New Orleans (January 3-6, 2013).

Discussing the History Profession
Discussion and debate—formally and informally, in sessions and in common areas—is a central part of every annual meeting, and this meeting was no different. This morning, AHA Executive Director Jim Grossman discussed the founding of the AHA, historians in a variety of professions, and the 126th annual meeting in an interview with Rick Kogan from Radio 720 WGN in Chicago. Earlier this week, HistoriansTV sat down with Grossman to talk about the annual meeting’s themes and the host city, and with now former AHA President Anthony Grafton about his work for the association over the past year and the challenges historians are currently facing.
