Welcome back to tomorrow.
The second trailer for Disney’s Tomorrowland debuted during the Super Bowl on Sunday afternoon, giving audiences another glimpse of the utopia created by director Brad Bird and his co-screenwriter Damon Lindelof — or, in terms of the movie’s logic, by a reclusive inventor played by George Clooney.
Much about the film’s plot remains a mystery, with Lindelof teasing the concept of the movie — which also stars Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Keegan-Michael Key and Judy Greer — with the description, “What Hogwarts is to magic, Tomorrowland is to science.”
The first trailer for the film was released in October to coincide New York Comic Con, and a teaser for this trailer went live earlier this week. The movie, also co-written by journalist Jeff Jensen, will be released in theaters May 22.
