Independence Day weekend starts off in the wild, wild west.
In Disney’s movie remake of the radio show The Lone Ranger, Johnny Depp plays an Indian spirit warrior Tonto who helps John Reid (Armie Hammer) recount his past of transforming from a man of law into a legend of justice. The unlikely pair must work together to fight crime and corruption in Gore Verbinski‘s action-packed western film.
Meanwhile, Despicable Me 2 sees Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) back in action with the minions for Universal’s animated sequel. The comedy also features voice-overs by Al Pacino, Kristen Wiig and Russell Brand.
