The Gospel of Thomas（トマスの福音書）

These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.
これらは、生きているイエスが語った、秘密の言葉である。そして、これをディディモ・ユダ・トマスが書き記した。

(1)
And he said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death."

そして彼は言った「これらの言葉の解釈を発見した者は死を経験しないだろう」

Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

イエスは言った「発見するまで、探しつづけるようにしてあげなさい。彼は、見つけたとき、戸惑うだろう。当惑してさらに驚くだろう。そのとき、彼はすべてを支配する」

Jesus said, " The kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

イエスは言った「神の国はあなたの中にある。外にも。自分自身を知れば分かるようになる。自分が生ける父（＝神）の子であることを理解するだろう。しかし、もし己を知るつもりがないのなら、貧しい状態になる。貧困になってしまうのである」
