Another actor has joined the rapidly growing cast of The Expendables 3.
Newcomer Glen Powell has been cast in a lead role in the action-ensemble sequel. The 24-year-old will play a highly trained combat veteran who is also an expert hacker and drone pilot.
In the past week, there have been several big casting announcements for the film. Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson are both set to appear in the film. Harrison Ford will also be featured, while Bruce Willis, who starred in the first two films, will not.

Sylvester Stallone broke the news on Twitter that Ford is in and Willis is out.
Moments after tweeting that Willis would not returning, Stallone added: “GREEDY AND LAZY . . . A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.”
A source with knowledge of the situation told THR that the fallout was over a specific money demand. Willis was offered $3 million for four days of consecutive work on location in Bulgaria for the film. “He said he’d drop out unless he got $4 million,” this source close to the production says. “A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no.”
Lionsgate has slated the third film in the action franchise to open on Aug. 15, 2014. Stallone returns as Barney Ross, who leads the group of mercenaries as it undertakes seemingly impossible missions.
Patrick Hughes is directing from a screenplay by Stallone and Richard Wenk.
Jackie Chan and Nicolas Cage are also set to appear in the Nu Image/Millennium Films pic.
Powell’s recent acting credits include The Dark Knight Rises and upcoming drama Red Wing. He’s repped by Resolution and Untitled.
