Iris Grossman has left ICM Partners and joined Paradigm’s talent department.
“As an agent with exquisite taste, deep relationships in the community and an impeccable reputation, Iris will continue to fortify our senior talent agent ranks while also serving as a mentor and role model for our outstanding young agents,” Paradigm talent head Andrew Ruf said in a statement.
Grossman began her career as an assistant at ICM, leaving in the early ’90s to become senior vp talent and casting at TNT, where she received an Emmy nomination and won a Casting Society of America Artios award for casting Gary Sinise, Mare Winningham and Angelina Jolie in the 1997 TV movie George Wallace. Grossman rejoined ICM in October 2001.
“Iris Grossman is someone we have known and respected for many years,” said Paradigm chair Sam Gores in a statement, citing the agency’s experience working with her at TNT. “That experience gives her a unique set of skills which her clients are the beneficiaries of, and we are very pleased to have her join us.”
Grossman served two terms as president of Women in Film and continues to chair the organization’s Crystal + Lucy Awards. It’s unclear which of her clients, whom include Ed O’Neill, Mandy Patinkin and Frances Conroy, will join her at Paradigm. In the past several months the agency has added several high-profile reps to its stable, including former CAA agents Ken Stovitz and Robert Bookman.
“The whole town has seen what Paradigm has been doing, attracting some of the most well-respected agents in the industry, who are all energized and thriving there,” Grossman said in a statement. “That’s very appealing to me, and I can’t wait to get started.”
