Asif Kapadia, the director behind the award-winning documentary Senna, has signed with WME.
The filmmaker, who was previously at CAA, boarded the agency last week, capping off a string of days where the agency also signed directors Jim Sheridan and F. Javier Gutierrez.
Senna, the documentary on Brazilian Formula One racer Ayrton Senna, won a BAFTA for best documentary as well as best editing and the World Cinema Audience Award for documentary at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Kapadia flits from narrative to documentary fields and his 2001 feature, The Warrior, won the BAFTA for best British film in 2003.
Kapadia continues to be repped in the U.K. by Michael McCoy at Independent Talent Group and attorney Carlos Goodman at Bloom Hergott.
