‘GONE’ BUT FAR FROM FORGOTTEN: You might be ready for a third single from Phillip Phillips’ album The World from the Side of the Moon, but the second release is still too strong to make way for a follow-up. “Gone, Gone, Gone” is hardly gone at all, as it moves up on a trio of Billboard charts this week. A two-spot climb, from No. 6 to No. 4, on Adult Contemporary results in a new peak position on a chart where Phillips’ previous single, “Home,” ruled for 12 weeks. “Gone” also improves on the Hot 100, where it rises three spots to No. 25. On the Rock Streaming Songs list, “Gone” advances 19 to 17. But the track’s biggest move of the week is on Hot Digital Songs, where it jumps ten positions, from 33 to 23.
“Gone” holds its grounds on three other charts: Hot 100 Airplay, where it spends another week at No. 17; Hot Rock Songs, where it stands pat at No. 3; and Rock Digital Songs, where it stays at No. 3 in its 37th week on this chart.
Meanwhile, “Home” remains No. 1 for the fourth week on Adult Contemporary Recurrents.

‘SEE’ CARRIE RUN: Carrie Underwood’s “See You Again,” the fourth single from her Blown Away album, has had a slow rise up the charts, but the keyword in that sentence is “rise.” The song is still marching up the Billboard surveys and remains a potential No. 1 on Country Airplay, where it takes a two-spot hike this week, from No. 6 to No. 4. On the Country Airplay Detections chart, the song is ranked even higher, thanks to a move of fourth to third. On Hot 100 Airplay, “See You Again” is up two spots to No. 24.
“See You Again” is improving not only in airplay, but in sales. On Country Digital Songs, the track is up 15 to 13, and on Hot Digital Songs, the title jumps three spot to No. 58.
There’s more good chart news for Underwood’s latest single. On the Hot 100, it ascends to No. 41, up from No. 45, and on Hot Country Songs, it racks up another week in the top 10, inching up one position to No. 8. On Country Streaming Songs, the cut returns to the top 10 with a move of 11 to 10; the song previously peaked on this tally at No. 6. And on the Canadian Hot 100, the single moves into the top half of the chart, rising 52 to 50.
This activity is part of the reason why Blown Away is doing so well on Top Country Albums, where it enjoys a resurgence of 18 to 14.

BITS AND PIECES: Kelly Clarkson’s “Tie It Up” continues to climb on Country Airplay, with a four-spot jump to No. 34 this week. Clarkson’s “People Like Us” is still on the move, as well, up three spots to No. 17 on Adult Contemporary … “Without Me” by Fantasia, and featuring Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott, lands in the top 10 of the Adult R&B chart, with a lift of 12 to 10. It’s up 7 to 6 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay … Mandisa’s “Overcomer” is No. 1 for the fourth week on both Christian Digital Songs and Christian/Gospel Digital Songs. The track is also doing well on two airplay charts: it’s up two spots, from No. 8 to No. 6, on Christian Songs and breaks into the top 10 of Christian Adult Contemporary, with a move of 12 to 9… Colton Dixon’s A Messenger gathers new strength on Top Christian Albums, as evidenced by its six-spot rise to No. 18.
