TORONTO – No word on whether Rob Ford will bring a metal chair, but the embattled Toronto mayor is due to arm-wrestle Hulk Hogan on Friday at Fan Expo Canada.
The match between the mayor and the TV wrestling star, set for Friday morning at the Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto, is being called a “friendly competition” by exhibition organizers.

“Find out who will have reason to cheer: Hulkamaniacs or Ford Nation?” Fan Expo Canada said in a statement Thursday.
Fan Expo Canada will kick off Friday at the next-door Metro Toronto Convention Center, and go all weekend with appearances by stars like Stan Lee, Alice Cooper, David Hasselhoff, Carrie Fisher and Linda Hamilton.
The celebrity faceoff comes as Ford continues to face media scrutiny over allegations that he was captured in smartphone footage smoking crack cocaine.
The Toronto Star last weekend reported that police are probing attempts by business associates of the mayor to obtain the infamous crack cocaine video in the days after the U.S. gossip website Gawker first claimed to have viewed the infamous videotape.
Ford and his brother, city councilor Doug Ford, had no direct comment on the latest allegations against the mayor during their weekly radio show on Sunday afternoon.
