TORONTO – Storage Wars producer, Original Productions, is set to make a reality ghost-hunting series about Kim Hadfield, the subject of the Canadian theatrical documentary 30 Ghosts.
Original Productions approached Hadfield and her ghost-hunting team, the Halton Paranormal Group, as they were filming Sean Cisterna‘s theatrical documentary, which is bowing on theatrical release in Toronto this weekend.
30 Ghosts follows Hadfield, a rural Ontario horse farmer and part-time paranormal investigator as she and her team attempt to prove the existence of ghosts.
The Canadian doc, Cisterna’s first film after earlier break-out success with the theatrical drama Moon Point, has Hadfield investigating abandoned houses and the homes of local eccentrics in and around Toronto.
Now Original Productions, with its own spin on the paranormal investigation genre, has tapped Hadfield for an Alaska-based paranormal TV series to start shooting in the U.S. in April of 2014.
Cisterna’s 30 Ghosts, from Mythic Productions, is being released in Canada by Avi Federgreen‘s Indiecan Entertainment.
