Disney has announced a release date for sports drama Million Dollar Arm starring Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm.
The film, directed by Craig Gillespie, will open wide on May 16, 2014.

Based on a true story, the film follows sports agent J.B. Bernstein (Hamm) who stages a reality show in India looking for the best cricket player. After discovering two standout players, Bernstein takes them back to the U.S. to attempt to turn them into baseball stars.
Produced by Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray of Mayhem Pictures with Joe Roth, Palek Patel and Kevin Halloran executive producing, the film also stars Bill Paxton, Alan Arkin and Life of Pi‘s Suraj Sharma.
Million Dollar Arm will open against Warner Bros.’ untitled Godzilla project.
