“One of the primary objectives of The Big Picture Summit is to fire the spirit of creative and business minds of the Indian media and entertainment industry along with government, regulators and civil society to chalk out a path that could guide us in scaling this vibrant sector to new heights,” said CII director general Chandrajit Banerjee. “With that premise, we will bring together the decision makers of the entire value chain of the M&E sector for the second edition of the summit and map the progress that we have made.”
Amritraj, a former tennis professional who played at major events including Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, will also launch his autobiography Advantage Hollywood on Sept.13. “Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is likely to be present on this occasion,” said CII deputy director general Amita Sarkar. The Belgian actor starred in the Amritraj-produced 1991 breakout hit Double Impact.
