Rizzoli & Isles star Lee Thompson Young‘s funeral will take place Friday, Aug. 23, on the Paramount Pictures lot where his TNT series is filmed.
The actor, who also played the title character on Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson for three years, was found dead earlier this week in his North Hollywood home. Authorities said that Young, 29, committed suicide.

Police went looking for Young after he failed to show up for work on the TNT crime drama, in which he played Barry Frost alongside Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. Young was set to return as a regular on the show, which had just been renewed for a fifth season.
TMZ was the first to report news of the service, saying that hundreds of people are expected to attend. The service will be private.
Meanwhile, the family is asking that donations be made to Young Storytellers Foundation, which helps expose underprivileged kids to the arts.
It’s unclear why Young, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, committed suicide.

In a statement, Rizzoli & Isles showrunner Janet Tamaro called Young a “sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man.”
Added his longtime manager, Jonathan Baruch: “Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.”
The show paid tribute to Young on this week’s episode. Watch below.
