After a confrontation with the stars of the football team goes bad, the outsider and her new cheerleader friends are supernaturally thrust onto a bloody path of destruction.
Butler plays the head cheerleader and has many of the movie’s best lines and juiciest scenes.
Cheerleaders kicked off the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto Film Festival and was just picked up by Image Entertainment. Image is planning a theatrical release plus premium VOD in spring 2014.
Cheerleaders is the first major role for Butler, who also appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
She is managed by Ashley Franklin at Thruline Entertainment.
