DreamWorks has promoted Jonathan Eirich to senior vp production.
Eirich, who was on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Next Gen list in 2011, was vp production and oversaw such as projects as I Am Number Four and the Academy Award-winning hit The Help.
He is now overseeing Need for Speed, which is in production with Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper. Eirich also is overseeing Glimmer and Resurrection, both of which the studio is prepping for starts this year.

“Jonathan has made himself invaluable here at DreamWorks,” said DreamWorks co-chair and CEO Stacey Snider in a statement. “He has great taste, an indefatigable work ethic and great relationships.”
Eirich joined DreamWorks in 2006 as Snider’s creative assistant. In 2007, he was promoted to creative executive and later to director of development. He became a production vp in 2011.
“Jonathan continues to be a great asset for DreamWorks,” said DreamWorks president of production Holly Bario. “He has a natural rapport with filmmakers and great story instincts, which make him an invaluable member of the team here. His enthusiasm for film and for his projects is contagious, and we look forward to his continued success here at DreamWorks.”
