SOLANO COUNTY—

Investigators are saying that a clandestine meth lab has been found on the houseboat where two men were found dead Monday night.

Tuesday afternoon, the boat was towed from its original location on Browns Island to the U.S. Coast Guard station on Sandy Beach. Drug Enforcement Administration officers joined in on the investigation.

Sgt. Daryl Snedeker with Solano County Sheriff’s Office notes that the lab was capable of producing 1-2 ounces of meth at a time.

It doesn’t appear that any explosion or fire happened on the boat, Snedeker said. The deaths of the two men are still being investigated.

“The only way to the vessel was via the water. So any equipment, any personnel, we’ve brought out there has been via boat,”
Snedeker said.
