The number of admissions to Escape Plan was higher than for Thor: The Dark World, but its gross was lower because of Thor‘s 3D and Imax haul.
Hotel Transylvania took $3.51 million for a cumulative $9.3 million, while Stalingrad dropped to fourth place after its eleven-day theatrical run, grossing $2.7 million for a total of $11.06 million in 11 days.
The biggest Chinese movie during the period was the Zhang Hanyu and Wang Luodan starrer Love You for Loving Me, which earned $1.7 million during its opening three days.
The performance of this movie was under scrutiny, as it was one of nine domestic Chinese movies released the same day on Nov. 8, which was Single’s Day.

The current week is dominated by Chinese releases, including the thriller Black Mirror, the romantic comedy My Boyfriends and the action film Kung Fu Fighter.
The Bruce Willis starrer Red 2 is due to open on Friday.
