STOCKTON-

Two motel managers in Stockton were attacked by guests, throwing bleach, who were trying to skip out on a bill.

Mina Patel at the I-5 Inn says she was giving a checkout time notice but found the two women had barricaded the door with furniture. They were packing and weren’t going to pay the bill, according to Patel.

During the confrontation, she and another manager were hit by the bleach thrown on them. She went to another room to splash water on herself. Both managers got bleach in their eyes.

Stockton Police say it could have been much more serious. They say that an assault with a caustic substance is a felony.

Officers who responded to the distubance found that the room was trashed.

The two managers did not require medical assistance even though their eyes were still stinging from the attack. A man actually signed for the room but left after a day.

The two women stayed another day and left food thrown on the floor and damaged walls, the bed and furniture. Pills were also left behind.  The women were in their 20’s and drove away in a blue GMC sedan.
