MANILA, Philippines - Houston Rockets' guard Jeremy Lin delighted Filipino fans online when he posted a photo of him with a Filipino dish on his Facebook page on Friday.

"Had a blast in the Philippines. Unbelievable fans and binukadkad na pla-pla!" Lin said the day after his team won in NBA's first pre-season match in the Philippines Thursday night.

The dish is  a crispy deep-fried fish spread open in a butterfly cut and meant to be taken with rice.

Some Filipino immediately commented on the post which made 24,000 likes in an hour's time.

"Binukadkad na pla-pla! I wish to hear you say that!" Facebook user Louella Grace Gutierrez said.

His Taiwanese followers also said they want to try the dish.

"Fried fish! Looks yum!" Maukai Chang said in a comment.

Lin, who headed for his other homeland Taiwan on Friday, also earned the loudest cheers throughout the game where he scored 14 points against the Indiana Pacers at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City for the NBA Global Games tour.

The day after the Rockets touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Monday, Lin was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic welcome of the basketball-crazy country.

"Still blown away by the love from the Philippines!" he said in another Facebook post.

The Rockets defeated the Pacers with a 116-96 score that drew a crowd of over 12,000.
