The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said Friday afternoon that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was shot in Roseville.

Officers from several area law enforcement agencies, including police departments from Roseville, Citrus Heights and Rocklin, converged on the scene along Kenroy Lane near Riverside Avenue.

The suspect was described as a 32-year-old parolee at large. As of posting time, it was unclear if the gunman was in custody or not.

The severity of the officer’s injuries was not immediately known.
