“Tapped is an action-packed underdog story with heart. We believe it will resonate with international audiences, and we’re thrilled to be representing the film,” said Michael Dwyer of Screen Media in a statement.
Screen Media will start shopping the film to international buyers, excluding North America, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
XYZ Films is handling North American sales as part of an agreement negotiated with Screen Media on behalf of the producers.
The ensemble cast for Tapped includes Martin Kove (The Karate Kid) and UFC stars Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida.
Hackybox Pictures also has in the works the upcoming action film Gridlocked, about a former SWAT leader and arrogant movie star organizing the surviving members of a training facility against a team of mercenaries, with Ungar directing.
