STOCKTON-
Stockton Police say a man led officers on a chase Wednesday morning, reportedly driving a stolen vehicle.
Officers say they tried to stop 48-year-old Michael Sexton near Thornton Road and Lucille Avenue, but he tried to speed off.
Police chased the car for five miles, investigators say. The car went into a gated community on St. Moritz Drive. Officers say Sexton tried to leave again, but rammed the car into the closing gate.
Sexton ran off, officers say, but was soon found in a nearby back yard.
He was booked for auto theft, traffic violations and resisting arrest.
