Der Beer-Garten is how it’s pronounced, and it’s well on its way to opening day.
The new restaurant and beer bar will be nestled cozily inside of these two shipping containers.
“We haven’t seen this lot around here. But Brent Hatcher, an architect from San Francisco, says store front shops tucked inside of containers like this are all the rage.
“I just got back from London and saw a mall. It had shipping containers stacked one after the other,” Hatcher said.
Quite a difference from the typical brick & mortar bar next door, the Golden Bear.
“No it’s not a competition. Even if it was a competition its healthy—helps keep you on your toes,” said Matt Brown, executive chef at the Golden Bear.
