Matt Passmore is heading to USA Network.
The former star of A&E’s The Glades has been tapped to topline USA’s Sean Jablonski drama pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The untitled effort revolves around investment banker Neil Truman and his wife, Grace, as they try to sift through their stagnant relationship looking for what they once had. But when Neil discovers that Grace is seeing a male escort and accidentally comes into possession of the escort’s phone, he gains a unique perspective on his life and what motivates women. Meanwhile, Grace contemplates whether her needs are being met and whether her marriage is worth saving.

Passmore will play Neil, the investment banker who attempts to satisfy his married midlife crisis by quitting his job and redefining himself and his relationships.
Jablonski — who served as showrunner on the first season of USA’s Suits before exiting ahead of its second run — will write and executive produce the Universal Cable Productions pilot alongside Community‘s Russ Krasnoff. Jablonski currently serves as a co-EP on ABC’s fall drama Betrayal and developed React at TNT.

For Passmore, the role marks his first following his four-season starring role on The Glades. The drama was canceled in August. The deal comes after producer Fox Television Studios released the cast from their contracts following attempts to revive the drama elsewhere, including Ion.
Passmore’s credits include Australian entry Always Greener, Blue Heelers, Mcleod’s Daughter and Underbelly. He’s repped by WME, Roar and RGM in Australia.
