Fresh off a controversy in the way it portrays Asian American women and women of color, now it comes out the new sitcom Dads has a second Asian American woman cast member.
According to ABS CBN, Filipino American actress Vanessa Minnillo-Lachey portrays Camilla in the show on Fox.
“Camilla is the glue, a lot of the times, to madness that goes on in Warner and Crawford’s relationship,” she said, referring to her new role in “Dads.”
Vanessa is married to Nick Lachey and used to be a host on both MTV and Entertainment Tonight.
Dads also features Brenda Song from Disney TV’s The Suite Life of Zach & Cody. In the pilot, Song puts on a sexy Asian school girl outfit and is asked to giggle in front of Chinese clients to woo their business.
