John Goodman is getting into the Christmas spirit.
The veteran actor, currently seen on the big screen in Joel and Ethan Coen‘s Inside Llewyn Davis, takes the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend for an astonishing 13th time as host. With the help of SNL‘s Taran Killam, Goodman got into a festive mood outside Rockefeller Center.

Only two promos were unveiled this time around for a brief 37-second teaser, with the first focusing on Goodman’s 13th time taking the stage. It just so happens that Friday is also Friday the 13th, so does this mean Goodman’s SNL gig was destined to happen this week? A black cat that “scurries” past would seem to disagree.
In the second, Goodman travels back in time when Killam gets giddy over his love of Roseanne, the sitcom Goodman starred on opposite Roseanne Barr. Well, Goodman doesn’t take it very well.
Watch the promos below.
Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday. Kings of Leon is the musical guest.
