Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom first met in September 2009 at a party for Odom's then-teammate, Metta World Peace. The duo quickly became involved and announced their engagement just weeks later.
Mr. and Mrs. Odom tied the knot just one month after their first encounter. The couple unveiled their wedding photos in an OK! magazine spread and the celebration was filmed for the Kardashians' E! reality series.
Shortly after marrying, Kardashian legally changed her name to Odom — removing her middle name to become Khloe Kardashian Odom.
The couple has been known for being extra affectionate in public and for making time to be together as often as possible.
On April 10, 2011, the duo's Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality spinoff, Khloe & Lamar, debuted on E!. The show aired for two seasons before Khloe announced that it would be taking an indefinite hiatus.
“Our show is not canceled,” Khloe told ET at the 2012 upfronts. “Lamar and I have just chosen to take a break this summer. I feel like we’ve been on a whirlwind and doing back-to-back shows. We just want to take a little time off for Lamar to be with family time, kids, basketball, Olympics, you never know. We have a lot on our plate right now.”
The Odoms have publicly struggled to get pregnant in recent years. In June 2013, Khloe told Redbook that while she hadn't been able to conceive, she isn't suffering from infertility. "It's more about my hormones being off," she said. "I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor — you can do them yourself, but I couldn't. And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I'm in Miami and miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It's a commitment and I don't mind doing it, but the timing was just off ."
"I was 26 when that started, and I admit, I didn’t know a lot about my body. It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids, and Kourtney got pregnant quickly. People assume I’m desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I’m 28, and I’ve been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn’t feel incomplete right now.

Lamar has seemingly become a constant presence among the Kardashians, frequently appearing with his wife's family in public and on their reality series.
Lamar holds a special relationship with his wife's younger brother Rob, who shared the couple's Tarzana home.
Despite initial skepticism surrounding Khloe and Lamar's whirlwind courtship, the family seems to have welcomed the NBA player into their clan with open arms.
The duo was all smiles at sister Kim's baby shower earlier this year.
Khloe made a point to be on hand — front and center — at every single one of her husband's home games. She's been a mainstay at L.A.'s Staples Center, where Lamar previously played for the Lakers and last season played for the Clippers. In between, the couple relocated to Dallas, where Lamar played for the Mavericks.
