Discovery Channel is ready to chunk some pumpkins.
The network is set to air the Thanksgiving competition Punkin Chunkin at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday in a simulcast with corporate sibling Science Channel.

Punkin Chunkin is a competition and gathering of teams of engineers from across America who descend upon a Delaware farm to see whose homemade contraptions can propel a pumpkin the farthest.
Hosted by Discovery Channel’s MythBusters co-hosts Kari Byron, Grant Imahara and Tory Belleci, Punkin Chunkin will feature more than 100 athletes competing for this year’s championship, hosted by the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association.
Punkin Chunkin is produced by Sharp Entertainment, with Matt Sharp serving as executive producer.
