Grant of the Week: SSRC International Dissertation Research Fellowships

AHA Staff | Oct 10, 2008

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) is offering 75 International Dissertation Research Fellowships (IDRF) for 2009. These fellowships support distinguished graduate students in the humanities and social sciences conducting dissertation research outside the United States. Recipients will receive support for nine to twelve months of dissertation research and will be awarded $20,000 each. The IDRF program is committed to empirical and site-specific research that advances knowledge about non-U.S. cultures and societies (involving fieldwork, research in archival or manuscript collections, or quantitative data collection). Deadline for applications is November 5th, 2008 at 9 p.m. EST. For more information, see International Dissertation Research Fellowships page online.
