ESPN news and sports highlights videos will now be syndicated across AOL Networks and The Huffington Post, the companies said on Wednesday.
The sports network’s videos, including SportsCenter clips, began appearing alongside AOL Network articles and content on Oct. 8. ESPN will also program content especially for AOL Network properties.

“AOL’s network will provide sports fans a truly engaging online experience with ESPN-produced and ESPN-branded premium video,” said Matt Murphy, ESPN svp digital video distribution. “We see a real opportunity in our ability to curate and syndicate locally relevant content to AOL’s vast network of local sites.”
The ESPN video brand page is now featured on AOL’s heavily-trafficked homepage. E! and The Wall Street Journal, among other publishers, also have video partnerships with AOL.
AOL has made promoting video content a priority, including a push into cable news-style programming with Huff Post Live and creating multiple original web series.
In September, AOL closed on its $405 million acquisition of video advertising platform Adapt.tv. Over the summer, the web media company hired former Razorfish exec Bob Lord to oversee AOL Networks.
