If every episode of Fox’s Family Guy prompts thoughts along the lines of “I wish I could hang out with the Griffins and their friends all the time,” get prepared for Christmas to come early this year: Twentieth Century Fox announced today that it is teaming with game company TinyCo to create a new Family Guy game for mobile devices.
Players will be able to explore Quahog in the new game, interacting with their favorite characters in an all-new story created with the assistance of the show’s writers.
“With more than a decade on the air, Family Guy has built a world like no other with some of the most beloved characters in entertainment today,” Fox Digital senior vp Rick Phillips said. “This game will bring the best of the Family Guy experience to mobile gamers all over the world.”

Calling the animated series “an amazing show that’s famous for its sharp wit, unpredictable storytelling and hilarious cast of characters,” Suli Ali, CEO of the San Francisco-based game developer, promised that the free-to-play game will “[capture] that essence, providing players with an awesome way to get their Family Guy fix every day.”
We can but hope that there’ll be an “undo” move that will bring Brian back to life somewhere in there…
The game will be released in 2014 for both iOS and Android devices.
