LONDON – Producer Kris Thykier, whose credits include Kick-Ass and Madonna‘s W.E., is ramping up his U.K. production banner PeaPie Films.
Thykier has appointed former legal eagle Natasha Pilbrow as PeaPie Films’ head of business affairs and legal.
She joins from U.K. law firm Lee & Thompson and is also a former pupil of Inside Pictures, the movie biz and leadership skills program that operates in the British capital and Hollywood.
As part of Lee & Thompson’s film division Pilbrow worked across the law related to film development, production, finance and distribution, specializing in development and talent negotiation.
Thykier is currently in preproduction on Stephen Daldry‘s Trash, written by Richard Curtis for Working Title Films and is prepping Ruairi Robinson‘s The Fallen, written by Andrew Will and Geoff Bussetil, with Lionsgate U.K.
Also on the company’s roster is Ali And Nino, adapted for the big screen from Kurban Said‘s novel by Christopher Hampton, with Asif Kapadia directing.
