Only months after the release of Yeezus (June 18), Kanye West is prepping his seventh studio album.
During an interview with Elliott Wilson for Life + Times, Q-Tip, who is working on a solo album of his own, The Last Zulu, shared that he and Rick Rubin will be producing West’s upcoming album: “I’m producing Kanye’s new album with Rick Rubin, I’m doing that, so that’s coming up.”

Ye’ told Philly’s Power 99 that he’s currently recording and hopes to release the album in the summer of 2014. “I haven’t named my next album but I have started on it,” he said. “I write down philosophies all the time. I have some thoughts and I just constantly … every time I think of it I write it. I’m working on it.”
“I’d like to have another album out by next summer,” he continued.
Ye’ also confirmed that he has a remix with Miley Cyrus coming up. He didn’t say if it’s a remix to his Yeezus single, “Black Skinhead,” which reports stated in August. Rumors of the remix started shortly after Cyrus’ 2013 MTV VMA performance.
