Paul Walker‘s family is still mourning the actor’s shocking death, with his father, also named Paul Walker, struggling to contain his grief as he spoke to Los Angeles’ CBS affiliate on Sunday.

“His heart was so big,” a visibly choked up Walker said as he fought back tears. “I was proud of him every day of his life.”
“I’m just … glad that every time I saw him, I told him I loved him. And he would say the same thing to me,” the elder Walker added.
The 40-year-old Fast & Furious star, who died in a fiery car crash on Saturday, was raised along with his four siblings in Sunland, Calif. Friends and family members gathered at the Walker house to console one another.
“You can’t beat friends at a time like this,” said Walker. “His brothers are all taking it pretty hard.”

Walker also talked about how his son worried his career wasn’t giving him enough time to spend with his teenage daughter, Meadow.
“[He told me] ‘I want to take a hiatus. She’s just 15, and I don’t have much more time to be with her.’ And then, boom, he got another three movies,” Walker recalled. “He would say, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ “
Jim Torp, whose son Brandon was a friend of the younger Walker’s, also revealed the actor’s final words.
“The last words Paul said to anybody were, ‘Hey, I’ll be back in five minutes. All right?’ And that was it,” Torp told the Associated Press.
The local CBS station reported that an autopsy for Walker and friend Roger Rodas, who also died in the crash, was scheduled to take place on Monday, but Los Angeles County’s chief coroner Craig Harvey told The Hollywood Reporter in an email that “the examination of both cases is on hold for today.”
