The Marvel Universe just can’t help but collide with itself. Currently, Marvel’s comic book lineup has two crossover events under way — Infinity, in which the Avengers have to deal with both an alien invasion spearheaded by Thanos as well as a more cosmic threat to the very existence of the Earth itself by a race called the Builders, and Battle of the Atom, which brings the X-Men of three different eras face to face — but things apparently won’t calm down even after both storylines are finished.
The publisher today released two teaser images for announcements to be made at next month’s New York Comic Con. The first featured the word “TRIAL,” along with the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen, who are currently collaborating on the All-New X-Men series. The second announced “JUDGMENT,” with a creative team of Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, who are currently working together on the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
Marvel Reveals Its ‘All-New Marvel NOW!’ Future
Quite who will be on trial — and what kind of judgment will be made — will be announced at the “Amazing X-Men & the Marvel Universe” panel on Friday, Oct. 11, at 11a.m., according to Marvel. But given the two series apparently participating in the storyline, how likely is it that we’re going to see the X-Men in the wider Marvel universe — that is, in space — sooner rather than later?
