Independent music, film and video distribution company The Orchard has teamed with horror film website Shock Till You Drop, owned by Evolve Media’s CraveOnline, for a multiyear pact, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
As part of the agreement, the companies will acquire and market contemporary horror films through all home video channels, including digital and DVD.
The first four horror films have also been acquired: Missionary, directed by Anthony DiBlasi and starring Dawn Olivieri, Mitch Ryan and Kip Pardue; The Complex, directed by Hideo Nakata; SoLo, starring Annie Clark, Daniel Kash and Richard Clarkin; and Bela Kiss, based on the true story of a Hungarian serial killer.

The films will be available for sale and for rental across all major online video services, including iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, XBox, Playstation, Vudu and Netflix. Additionally, select titles will be available via cable video-on-demand and on DVD beginning this month.
SoLo will be the first title released, with an Oct. 22 street date.
A new YouTube channel, Shock Till You Drop, will also launch as part of the deal, and will feature two hosted programs, including one featuring comedian Erin Darling. The channel will include content in horror film and media, including reviews and commentary on the latest theatrical movie releases and television programs and is available through The Orchard’s Multi Channel Network.
“We’ve always got our eye on unreleased films from talented filmmakers and to now be able to give these films a home is exciting,” said Shock Till You Drop managing editor Ryan Turek in a statement.
