Emily VanCamp and Michael Nyqvist are set to star in the indie film The Girl in the Book.
The film is written and will be directed by Marya Cohn, marking her directing debut.
The story centers on the daughter (VanCamp) of a powerful New York City literary agent who is forced to confront painful events in her past when asked to work on the re-release of her father’s star client’s best-selling novel. Forced to face difficult memories and make bold decisions, she ultimately overcomes her demons, allowing her to find love and rediscover her creative voice. Nyqvist will co-star as the author.

VanCamp recently wrapped the second season of ABC’s Revenge and will next be seen in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, slated for an April 2014 release.
Nyqvist will next be seen in Days & Nights, Christian Camargo’s modern retelling of Anton Chekhov‘s The Seagull and Sebastián Cordero’s Europa Report.
VanCamp is repped by UTA, Thruline Entertainment and attorney P.J. Shapiro. Nyqvist is handled by WME, Magnolia Entertainment and attorney Fred Toczek.
