Kanye West took a break from his Yeezus tour to stop by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he debuted his new video for “Bound 2,” which puts his affections for fiancee Kim Kardashian very much in the forefront.
“I don’t know if I can express it enough — it’s almost like, people make fun of me for how in love I actually I am,” said West of Kardashian, then referencing Tom Cruise‘s memorable moment on Oprah Winfrey ‘s talk show. “I’m also trying to avoid the jump-up-on-the-couch moment. It’s good.”

Directed by Nick Knight, the road film-inspired music video features West making out with a topless Kardashian while driving a motorcycle.
The rapper also took the opportunity to address his critics and clarify his creative process. “I think a misconception that people have about the way I create is that it’s an I, I, I thing, and the reason I created DONDA, which is a content experience and product company, was to create a think tank with other amazing artists, and let us bounce ideas — no one has reign, it’s just the best idea wins,” said West of his plan to “create the new Disney.”
“I get a lot of backlash for comparing myself to Steve Jobs but that’s my dream, that’s one of my idols,” he continued, then saying of his haters, “They’d rather laugh at you and make a spoof about you when they really should be helping you and investing in you, or helping the world see this in this light. The paparazzi is completely distracting to the thoughts that I have.”
