SACRAMENTO—

Police and onlookers are saying that it’s amazing no one was seriously hurt after an elderly driver plowed through the front of a Wells Fargo Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. at the Wells Fargo branch along Folsom Boulevard. An elderly woman parked directly in front of the bank apparently confused the brake with the accelerator, police told FOX40.

Her Toyota Camry then smashed through the front windows, accelerating deep into the bank. The wheels were still spinning several seconds after it stopped.

Two people were taken by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver wasn’t hurt.
