FAIRFIELD—

Two reports of residents awaking to a strange man in their bedrooms has Fairfield authorities concerned.

The first incident happened in late July, while the most recent one happened on Sunday.

According to a release from the Fairfield Police Department, in each incident the residents told police that they were sleeping, only to wake up to a man in their bedroom.

Both times, the man was confronted by the residents but calmly left through the front door.

The incidents happened near Utah Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. In the most recent incident, police say that the man was seen running down Pennsylvania Avenue towards downtown.

Police are asking residents to be cautious when leaving windows or doors unlocked at night.
