SACRAMENTO-
A 16-year-old boy is in juvenile hall after police say he stabbed his family dog in the head with a knife.
Police say they got a report that the boy was playing with the dog, then attacked it at their home on Hawkcrest Circle.
The dog was taken to a vet to be treated.
Officers arrested the boy and booked him for an animal cruelty charge.
