MGM is remaking the 1989 Patrick Swayze film Road House and has tapped Rob Cohen to direct.
The original told the story of a tough but soft-spoken bouncer who takes a job in a small town bar only to run afoul of a corrupt businessman who has a stranglehold on the townsfolk.
The movie was one of Swayze’s biggest hits and was part of his ascent to stardom. (Ghost, released in 1990, was his next movie.)
