Guidelines for Proposals
• Read the instructions carefully before completing the form.
• Proposals are due by midnight, January 24, 2014.
• All information requested must be included.
• Please review your proposal thoroughly before submitting. Proposals that do not meet stated guidelines will not be reviewed.

Obligation of Presenters
• All presenters are required to register for the conference on the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center website by March 8, 2014.
• To encourage broad program participation, an individual may only be included as a session leader or presenter in ONE general session and ONE poster session.
• Due to the limited program slots, the Conference Planning Committee may determine it necessary to assign your session a format different from the one you select. In such a case, the Committee will contact you regarding your willingness to accept the format change.

The following criteria are used to select each session (20 points).
(A) Importance and timeliness of the topic to siblings (10 points)
(B) Quality of the proposal (8 points)
1. Rationale for the presentation (2 points)
2. Observable and measurable participant outcomes of the presentation (3 points)
3. Appropriateness of the mode of presentation to the content, participant outcomes, number of presenters, and time desired (3 points)
(C) Information or practice to be presented, and how the information or practice is relevant to siblings including those from diverse groups (e.g., culture, gender, language, race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, other) (2 points)

PART III: Audio-Visual (AV) Presentation / Technology Requests

The TABS Conference will supply some audio-visual equipment in presentation rooms.

Each room will be set up banquet style (chairs around round tables facing a screen, podium, and panel table) and supplied with a sound system, laptop, LCD projector, projection screen, power strip and equipment table.

There will be a stand microphone, wireless handheld microphone, and lapel microphone available in each room.

If your equipment requirements need to be changed before the conference, please let us know immediately.

We will be UNABLE to fulfill or change your AV needs after April 1, 2014 OR at the conference.
