Jay Leno appeared ready to smother his Tonight Show successor during Friday’s episode, when the comedian brought a napping Jimmy Fallon a pillow.
“Jay, what are you doing?” a startled Fallon said, waking from a nap in the Tonight Show green room. Leno was poised to hold the pillow over the Late Night host’s face.
“I saw you resting,” Leno said. ” I wanted to bring you a pillow to make you more comfortable.
Fallon was helpless to do anything but shoot a frightened look into the camera.

Fallon, who will take over for Leno after the longtime NBC host exits Feb. 6, 2014, stopped by the show Friday for cordial conversation as well. Leno congratulated Fallon on fatherhood and being named Tonight Show host.
Fallon spoke of the difficulties he and his wife had conceiving a child (they ultimately gave birth through a surrogate) and said they named their daughter Winnie Rose because the couple got engaged on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
“We’ve been trying to have kids for a long time, and it wasn’t easy,” Fallon said. “Thank God we were blessed with this baby. We named her Win, because she was a win for us.”

Later, the pair almost came to (mock) blows, when mentalist Lior Suchard guessed the name of Fallon’s first kiss, (a girl named Megan, when he was 11). Hearing the name, Leno got up from his chair and yelled, “That bitch kissed you too?”
The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
