Superfast has found its leads.
The Fast and Furious spoof hails from writer-directors Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, who previously made fun of Twilight with Vampires Suck and laughed at 300 with Meet the Spartans.
And as per the modus operandi of those movies, the roles are being filled by up-and-comers.

In this case, Alex Ashbaugh and Dale Pavinski are in final negotiations to star as the Paul Walker and Vin Diesel characters.
Lili Mirojnick (Grey’s Anatomy, Cloverfield) and Andrea Navedo (Law & Order – Special Victims Unit, How to Make it in America) are being tapped for the Jordana Brewster and Michele Rodriguez roles. Daniel Booko, meanwhile, is set to fill the role played by Matt Schulze in the 2001 original.
Superfast is due to start shooting October in Los Angeles. Peter Safran, who recently wrapped the spoof The Starving Games and last produced the surprise horror hit The Conjuring, is producing the movie.

Ashbaugh most recently shot the lead role in the horror film Paraphobia for Philip Dawe of Blumhouse Productions and Revek Entertainment and appeared in The Canyons. He is repped by Gersh and Creative Partners Group.
Pavinski, repped by Grace Talent Organization, is a stunt performer who has worked on Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and Takers. He also has written and directed several shorts.
