A brush fire started Thursday morning near the Angeles National Forest, north of Glendora in Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES (KTLA)-

Los Angeles County firefighters on Thursday morning were battling a brush fire in the foothills north of Glendora.

The out-of-control blaze had burned about 12 acres an hour after breaking out at approximately 5:50 a.m, officials said. No injuries were immediately reported.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials were staging at Glendora Mountain Road and Dalton Road, where they were standing by to assist with Glendora Police Department with evacuations if necessary, said sheriff’s Sgt. Raymond Roth.

The blaze is being called the Colby Fire.
